Personal Emergency Preparedness (PEP) Class
OCP&R has partnered with Oakland’s Emergency Management Services Division and its CORE program to offer a free ~1 1/2 hour Personal Emergency Preparedness (PEP) class, in-person or via Zoom, that covers the most important steps one should take to be better prepared for a disaster such as a wildfire, earthquake or tsunami/flood. Neighborhoods, community groups, businesses, and other organizations are all invited to sign up for this PEP class.
The OCP&R Guides are great companion pieces for more information on topics related to disaster preparedness and response.
OCP&R EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS WORKSHOP (PHASING OUT)
The OCP&R Emergency Preparedness workshop covering the most important steps one should take to be better prepared for a disaster, developed in 2019, will be phased out and replaced by the PEP class noted above. The OCP&R workshop recording can still be viewed here and at a larger size on the OCP&R YouTube Channel. See below for links to other websites and information referenced in the OCP&R workshop.
A downloadable PDF of the recorded OCP&R workshop presentation can be found here.
